A law firm based in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal with extensive trial experience to join their legal team on a temporary basis. The role is estimated to last approximately two months , with the potential for extension based on case requirements. The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys in preparing for trial, managing case files, coordinating with witnesses, and handling pre-trial and trial support activities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in high-pressure environments and is comfortable handling complex litigation tasks. Key Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with all aspects of trial preparation, including organizing evidence, creating exhibits, and preparing trial binders. Draft and file pre-trial documents, including motions, subpoenas, and witness lists. Coordinate with witnesses, clients, and experts to ensure readiness for trial, and manage logistics for depositions and court appearances. Provide on-site support during trial as required, managing exhibits, taking notes, and coordinating with court personnel. Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and physical, ensuring accurate documentation and quick retrieval of information. Review and summarize depositions, discovery responses, and other case materials. Assist with document production, redaction, and e-filing, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines. Conduct legal research to support case strategy and prepare legal documents. Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and summaries of case documents for attorney review. Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy, assisting with the development of case theories and arguments. Qualifications: Paralegal certificate required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, with a strong focus on trial support. Proven experience in managing large case files and preparing for trials. Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and case management software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism. High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines. Compensation: $35 - $50 per hour.
