Certification Details Certifications: Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS preferred, current NIH (must be certified annually) Certifications Required: Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS preferred, current NIH (must be certified annually) Job Details Hospital: Frankfort Regional Medical Center Location: TriStar Address: 299 Kings Daughters Drive Frankfort, KY 40601 Unit Name: 611 – 4th Floor Med/Surg Building: Main Cost Center: 31768 Job Requirements Must have: Telemetry experience, post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience Advanced skills needed: preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment skills, central lines, blood transfusions Procedures performed on unit: telemetry monitoring, paracentesis Requested Skill Set: General med/surg skills, EKG interpretation, CPAP management, Port access Schedule Information Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend, three 12-hour shifts per week Floating policy: May float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg), or to PCU (to staff tele overflow) Unit Specific Information Number of Beds: 46 Patient Ratios: 6:1 Unit staffing description: Clinical Nurse Coordinators (charge nurse), RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs, Unit Clerks - staffing based on patient census Type of equipment: GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, Glucometer Documentation system: Meditech Expanse Patient Experience requirements: At least two years med/surg experience Additional Details Dress Code: Navy blue or Gray scrubs. NO ROYAL BLUE SCRUBS ARE PERMITTED Unit Prizes done bi-weekly for patient/staff recognition for exceptional teamwork and patient care Awards/Recognition: Daisy Nominations, Inclusion in staff and hospital celebrations We utilize GroupMe to communicate information, ask questions, and to celebrate one another The unit is home to several travelers who have continued to extend contracts due to excellent teamwork and amazing staff The unit is fully supported with a director and Manager, as well as a clinical educator We have excellent interdisciplinary communication and collaboration with all providers We are continuously requesting and receiving new equipment and supplies
