Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all operational activities within the facility including production and haul-out operations. Oversee the maintenance of and implement needed improvements to the yard. Regularly analyze processes and procedures in the departments they are overseeing for roadblocks or opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Oversee and manage all Quality Assurance over Production work. Support Change Orders detail and ensure proper documentation to support Change Orders. Work with Sr. Project Manager to facilitate communication between PM’s and Production Staff. Oversee daily operations of our boatyard and marina, ensuring top-tier standards of hospitality and service. Maintain department budgets, financial results, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth. Monitor production labor usage to assist PM with shipyard labor capacity and subcontracting decisions. Ensure that crews are meeting schedules as determined by project management and scheduling. Lead and develop a high-performing management team to achieve operational excellence. Maintain strong connections with stakeholders, including team members, clients, and community groups. Support development of the overall yard schedule by helping drive decisions in coordination with PM leadership and Commercial Lead. Support PMs in technical areas where needed and assist in reviewing boats for needed work. Ensure Job Summaries are thorough and complete with PM. Safety and Compliance: Support the company’s efforts to comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety within the team and the broader organization. Innovation and Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Strategize for Growth: Identify industry trends, software, and opportunities to drive business expansion. Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Advocate for sustainable practices and innovation to stay competitive and address market demands. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite Deep understanding of operational management in the marine or shipbuilding industry. Proven ability to manage and inspire teams to achieve high performance. Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to operational excellence. Familiarity with industry trends and sustainable practices. Required Qualifications: Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the marine or shipbuilding industry. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial performance. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
