The position lies at the heart of people transactions and is responsible for supporting the ongoing activities related to compliance, policies, and the employee life cycle, development, and productivity. The position requires excellent knowledge of employment regulations, federal and state-specific, and strong ability to navigate all types of employee relations circumstances. The role requires an exceptional ability to triage issues while maintaining an efficient and organized workflow. The HR Business Partner plays a critical role in providing nationwide human resources support to the company’s various entities along with directing the activities of staff. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities Supports the companywide HR department by helping to implement programs to help improve the employee experience and business success Serves as an HR Business Partner to Company leaders, offering employment advice and counseling; helps to resolve workplace issues through keen compliance knowledge and emotional intelligence Serves as part of the HR Shared Services (HRSS) team and as an onsite presence regarding compliance, policy and employee relations in the Charlotte of Excellence. Assists with the Company talent acquisition process to that it is compliant, effective, and efficient; assists in-house recruiters and consultants with clear job criteria and expectations Manages interactions between and among staff and escalates communication as appropriate Ensures effective use of HRIS and document convention, including, but not limited to employee files, recruiting, correction action, learning management, performance, and succession planning, separations, etc. Remains knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments on new company policies and procedures, and employment regulations as relates to the job, i.e., DOL, EEOC, ERISA, ACA, FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADAA, and other state, federal and local regulations Identifies compliance improvement or gaps and works swiftly to resolve Assists with the company’s Performance Management, which may include writing effective job descriptions, compensation reviews, performance improvement, change of status, etc. Works with VP of HR to ensure that the compensation systems across the business reward performance and are market competitive and that incentive structures align with Company's goals overall and motivate outstanding achievement Works with HRSS to execute ongoing HR activities such as policy administration, searching and selecting, Leaves of Absence management, on-boarding, off-boarding, employee data maintenance, training, and reporting. Fills in as needed with administrative needs related to timeline, compliance, etc. Creates PowerPoint presentations, excel reports and other tools needed for Human Resources Applies keen discernment regarding private information Demonstrates excellent communication skills to receive and convey information clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, vendors, and guests Helps to identify continuous improvement in purchasing and administrative processes and offers solutions to promote efficiency as the company continues to grow Works professionally and efficiently with all levels within the organization Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices Performs other duties as assigned Experience/Training/Education Bachelor’s Degree, Human Resources, Business, or another related field, required; HR certification, preferred HR Certification, a plus 3-5 years’ experience in relevant experience Strong working knowledge of technical HR software, developing reports, creating PowerPoint presentations and employee’s communication
