The Kentucky gigafactory in Bowling Green will supply Mercedes-Benz with high-performance battery cell modules. The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply technology-leading battery cells for new electric models produced in BMW Group's Spartanburg plant. About the Role As the SAP Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing AESC’s SAP environment, with a strong emphasis on the SAP Production Planning (PP) module. You will oversee the development, maintenance, and production support of SAP PP and related modules, ensuring that the system is aligned with AESC's manufacturing and operational goals. Your expertise in SAP PP and other modules will be central to optimizing production scheduling, material requirements planning (MRP), and capacity planning processes. You will also act as a liaison between business and technical teams to facilitate SAP projects, system updates, and integration efforts to improve production processes. What You Will Do SAP System Management: • Oversee the development, maintenance, and production support of SAP PP (Production Planning) and related modules, ensuring efficient operation and alignment with production and manufacturing needs. • Coordinate SAP Production Planning processes, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning), capacity planning, production scheduling, and integration with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), and EWM (Extended Warehouse Management). • Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring SAP PP solutions meet production and supply chain requirements. • Manage SAP system timelines, budgets, and execution for SAP-related projects, ensuring successful delivery and implementation. Business Process Support: • Support SAP users in their daily operations, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems to maintain smooth system performance across the production lifecycle. • Manage SAP tickets, categorize user inquiries, and ensure efficient problem resolution. • Reproduce and troubleshoot issues in the QAS environment, and perform thorough testing before implementing changes in the production environment (PRD). System Enhancements & Upgrades: • Coordinate SAP PP system enhancements, new features, and system upgrades, managing the entire process from ticketing, implementation in DEV, unit testing, integration testing in QAS, and rollout to PRD. • Maintain expertise in SAP PP and related modules, ensuring you stay updated with developments in SAP PP and production scheduling best practices. • Ensure proper documentation and training for SAP changes and system upgrades, ensuring effective end-user adoption. Cross-functional Collaboration: • Define system needs with business users in the production and supply chain functions, assisting in creating business cases and cost estimations for SAP projects. • Lead and engage in cross-functional teams, ensuring the SAP PP solutions are integrated effectively with other SAP modules and business systems. • Communicate technical issues and solutions to management, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with business priorities. System Integration & Production Solutions: • Design, configure, and implement SAP solutions, ensuring that production planning, scheduling, and MRP processes are optimized. • Manage job scheduling processes within SAP, ensuring the integration of external systems such as MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) for seamless data flow. • Ensure SAP PP is integrated effectively with other SAP modules (MM, WM, SD) to ensure a smooth and efficient production process. What You Need • Bachelor’s degree required. • Minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP, including a deep understanding of SAP PP (Production Planning) module, particularly in production scheduling, MRP, and capacity planning. • Full-cycle SAP implementation experience, with a strong understanding of how PP integrates with materials management, Extended Warehouse Management, production scheduling, and supply chain functions. • Strong expertise in SAP PP configuration, including production orders, MRP, capacity planning, and integration with other SAP modules. • Experience with SAP Supply Chain modules (MM, PP, SD, EWM), EDI integration, and managing offshore personnel and third-party vendors. • Proficiency with SAP S4 HANA and ABAP for customizing and enhancing SAP PP functionality. • Experience with SAP integration, particularly integrating SAP PP with external systems such as MES, to support seamless production scheduling and material requirements. • Strong project management experience, including system testing, development, and implementation. • Familiarity with EDI integration and managing third-party vendors. • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. Travel Up to 25% domestic and international travel to support project execution and global team collaboration.
