Job Details Job Location Oklahoma City - OKLAHOMA CITY, OK Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Job Shift Day Job Category Personal Lines Support Description SUMMARY: The Personal Lines Senior Account Manager is responsible for assisting clients with marketing, and servicing of accounts, by making changes to existing accounts, and meeting service and sales delivery standards while performing essential functions to achieve the quality and service standards developed by the agency. This position will provide assistance to the Internal Client/Producer in the handling and processing of new and renewal personal business and maintain high service standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Market, service, develop, and retain assigned accounts by meeting established account development and retention objectives Maintain a targeted mix of business by following underwriting guidelines and volume commitments Perform risk analysis surveys, obtain renewal information, complete applications, obtain markets, deliver policies, recommend loss control efforts to alleviate a potential loss, and resolve service problems Retain and develop accounts by making recommendations regarding risk handling to the Internal Client/Producer and/or External Client; seek the most effective requested insurance coverages, prepare proposals, evaluate and recommend other lines of coverage, and provide additional resources for the client as needed Collaborate with the insurance companies for the most proper coverage options Assist the Internal Client/Producer in preparing/making presentations of insurance programs to key clients/prospects Keep informed of all new product offerings and workflows Maintain client files on the computer system and use a computer system to perform all transactions Generate new business for the agency - take responsibility and ownership for making our business grow and improving/building the relationships with our existing and future customers Maintain a working knowledge of all available products to enhance sales ability Refer current and prospective clients to Employee Benefits and Commercial Insurance Departments for solicitation of those lines of business, if applicable Request non-automated renewals, endorsements, and other needed data from the companies, and clients Solicit Internal Client/Producer assistance when needed in order to issue coverage in a timely, efficient manner; bind coverage within agency underwriting authority Check new and renewal policies, endorsements, and cancellations, and promptly handle for accuracy in rating, ordering, requiring signatures, and input these transactions to generate billing invoices and quality products for our clients Provide team leadership skills for Account Managers and assist in mentoring programs as established by Department Manager and/or Director Perform all actions relating to customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This job description is intended to describe the level of work required of the person performing the position. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Proven experience working with mid-size/large personal lines clients Knowledge of rating procedures, coverage, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned client and prospect lists Full knowledge of insurance markets Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail Possess good presentation skills, with the ability to influence others Strong PC skills with a focus on the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and the ability to effectively and efficiently utilize the Agency's management system Ability to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environment Self-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed Regular and punctual attendance is required Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writing Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues, and managers, across all levels Ability to promote, and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers, companies, and the Agency Ability to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentiality QUALIFICATIONS: 7-10 Years previous Personal Lines Account Manager (including underwriting, marketing, and rating) experience preferred Resident insurance agent/producer license issued by the appropriate state board of insurance Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience CISR and other related designation(s) preferred WORKING CONDITIONS AND REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS: Fast-paced, multi-tasking, office environment with periodic high disruption and changing priorities Ability to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequently Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally Requires operation of a computer workstation, including keyboard and video display All requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate physical or mental impairment
