Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer with strong project management capabilities to lead our DevOps team on the AWS platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DevOps production support, ensuring seamless operations, continuous integration, and delivery processes. The role requires a proactive leader who can manage complex projects, streamline workflows, and mentor team members. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and career development. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting continuous learning and improvement. Ensure team adherence to best practices in DevOps methodologies, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee DevOps projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation, tracking progress and addressing any issues. Technical Expertise: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable AWS infrastructure. Automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management processes. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and performance of applications and services. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid and safe deployment of code changes. Production Support: Provide expert-level production support, diagnosing and resolving incidents and performance issues. Implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to issues proactively. Conduct root cause analysis of incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaboration & Communication: Act as a liaison between the DevOps team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Present project status, technical challenges, and solutions to stakeholders and management. Document processes, procedures, and best practices for team reference and knowledge sharing. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or at least 3.5 years of related experience. Proven experience as a DevOps Team Lead or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS platform. Expertise in DevOps tools and technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible. Strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation. Experience with version control systems such as Git. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Skills: AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect. Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
