Job Summary The Machine Programmer is responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines along with training or instructing operators on use and handling, but does not involve supervising. This is an active, hands-on role in a dynamic environment working with customers and across various departments, unsuitable for those who prefer to spend their day at a desk focused solely on programming. Benefits • Compensation: $25-32/hr based on experience • Paid Time Off • Holidays • Medical, Dental, Vision • 401k • Employee Stock Ownership • Health Savings Accounts • Tuition Reimbursement • Wellness Programs & Reimbursements Duties and Responsibilities Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Program CNC lathes and CNC mills using G and M code (must be able to read G & M code) and Conversational language • Setup CNC lathe, CNC mills and machine adjustment to produce a diversified line of parts with close dimensional and work quality requirement • Able to read/work from drawings, prints, setup and operating instructions, material specifications and production orders • Able to operate CNC lathes and CNC mills • An understanding of geometric tolerances • Knowledge of inspection tools and gages • Make use of in-house resources to maintain, check and upgrade tools, fixtures and gauges • Keep records and inventories on tools, fixtures, coolants and other items to maintain efficient production • Assist supervisor in all aspects of Department supervision (not to include disciplinary actions or hiring/dismissal actions) • Training and educating assigned machine operators Education & Qualifications • High School diploma or equivalent • Minimum 1 year of Mastercam experience • Ability to Read/Write G&M Code a MUST • Read and work from drawings, blueprints, setup and operation instructions, material specifications, and/or production orders • Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) • Training and/or instruction experience preferablePhysical Requirements • Able to stand for ten (10) hours a day in addition to any overtime hours that are required • Able to pick up and move parts/components up to fifty (50) pounds apiece for ten (10) hours a day and any required overtime • Able to perform physical, manual labor for ten (10) hours a day and any required overtime • Able to communicate effectively to co-workers and supervisory personnel • Ability to speak and read English
