Turin Space is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our platform engineering team. This role requires advanced expertise in CI/CD practices, cloud services (particularly AWS), containerization, and infrastructure as code. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of our CI/CD pipelines and AWS-based infrastructure, mentor junior team members, and provide technical expertise to drive our DevOps initiatives forward. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of robust CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools, ensuring best practices in automation, security, and reliability. Assist in architecting and improving deployment processes from our CI/CD pipelines to AWS environments, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. Implement and enhance infrastructure as code practices, primarily using AWS CDK, to manage and provision AWS resources. Contribute to the design and implementation of advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive issue detection and resolution in AWS environments. Participate in cloud infrastructure optimization initiatives, balancing cost, performance, security, and compliance requirements in AWS. Contribute to and help maintain DevOps and platform engineering best practices, including documentation for the organization. Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting complex, mission-critical issues in production environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align CI/CD and AWS infrastructure implementations with overall business objectives. Evaluate, test, and integrate cutting-edge technologies to continuously improve our CI/CD and AWS capabilities. Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Offer insights and recommendations for architectural decisions and technical strategy related to DevOps practices. Develop and maintain complex codebases primarily written in TypeScript, Python, and Go. Implement security best practices across our CI/CD pipelines and AWS environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity plans for our CI/CD pipelines and AWS-based systems. Implement and manage advanced secrets management solutions to secure sensitive information across our entire infrastructure. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles Proven track record of implementing large-scale CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure Expert-level knowledge of CI/CD concepts and extensive experience with industry-standard CI/CD tools Deep expertise with AWS services and architectures, particularly around containerization and orchestration Advanced proficiency in infrastructure as code tools, especially AWS CDK Expert-level knowledge in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, TypeScript) Extensive experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Amazon EKS) Comprehensive understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure concepts in cloud environments Strong mentoring abilities and experience guiding junior engineers Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive technical initiatives Outstanding communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional) Experience in DevOps roles within aerospace or high-tech industries Advanced skills in Python and Go, with a history of significant contributions to open-source projects Expertise in advanced AWS services such as AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, and AWS AppSync Experience implementing GitOps practices and tools in large-scale environments Deep knowledge of enterprise Linux distributions and their management at scale Experience designing and implementing advanced monitoring and observability solutions for complex CI/CD and AWS environments Track record of successful problem-solving in high-pressure, mission-critical environments Knowledge of machine learning operations (MLOps) and experience integrating ML workflows into CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with compliance standards relevant to the aerospace industry (e.g., NIST, ITAR) Experience with financial aspects of cloud infrastructure management ITAR Requirements: This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls.
