The IT Controls & Compliance Lead functions as the technical lead on a project or in area of technical expertise to complete and execute internal, information technology reviews, assessments, and rigorous control testing programs to ensure controls are designed adequately and working effectively. Executes reviews and assessments of the information technology control design and effectiveness in accordance with information technology & authoritative sources including the Lennar Enterprise Security Office corporate standards; Sarbanes Oxley (SOX); Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT); and/or International Organization of Standards (ISO).

Your Responsibilities on the Team

Analyze and interpret data sets used to drive compliance across multiple disciplines including Record Retention, Privacy, and other regulatory and operational requirements.

Gather technical requirements to ensure overall project objectives are met.

Conduct testing and validation of remediation action plans and enhancements to control routines.

Lead initiatives to enhance data security and compliance within data platforms.

Provide automation to enhance analytics and control assessments driving efficiency and review coverage.

Stay updated on technological innovations and adapt to new business processes.

Assess and ascertain that controls and processes are in place to ensure that information technology risks are adequately managed and in line with business priorities.

Weigh-in on information technology policy, standards and framework and proactively bridge the gap between control requirements, technical issues, and business risk.

Construct corrective action plans for resolution of control weaknesses and provide expert guidance on how to avoid and prevent similar situations in the future.

Research and recommend changes to business processes, information management practices, and control environments.

Technical Skills:

Strong awareness and knowledge of the following areas of information technology: Artificial Intelligence and its impacts on systems and data integrity, cloud computing and security, governance, service management and security authoritative sources providing control and control measurement best practices.

Persuasive, ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of levels and departments.

Independently able to solve technical problems and well versed in analytics.

Demonstrates the ability to define requirements and test scenarios.

Competently performs advanced IT tasks with minimal supervision.

Experience in managing and executing assessments of information technology and security control environments.

Ability to adapt to new technical innovations and business processes.

Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.

Progressive achievement in one or more traditional IT disciplines (applications, operations, infrastructure, or management).

Ability to provide technical expertise and recommended actions toward the design and operation of control measures and routines to ensure compliance with information technology and security standards, policies, and applicable regulations.

Extensive knowledge, ingenuity, and professional experience to effectively manage ambiguity across varying levels of control environment maturity.

Proactively research/recommend changes to business processes, information management practices and controls as well as new applications of technology in assigned area.

Requirements

10+ years of technical, architecture, analytics, programming and/or related experience with working knowledge of information technology governance, and information technology quality assurance.

Proficient in SQL programming or comparable to query databases, conducting statistical analysis, and creating insightful reports.

Above average skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visual Basic.

Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products – strong analytics skills.

Knowledge of Azure, AWS, Snowflake would be a plus.

Experience with project management tools including Microsoft project, Jira, Smartsheet, or other equivalent.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
