Lead Quality Technician

Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, the primary responsibility is to carry out quality assurance procedures including inspection activities, management of nonconforming material, analysis of data, calibration and assistance in developing/improving methods and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Provide and document dimensional & visual inspection of product.
Support pre-production part verification for new product development.
Assist in management of MRB activities including segregation, disposition, and scheduled disposal of expired materials.
Assist with reporting and management of non-conforming product per QMS procedures.
Conduct various records reviews in order to maintain QMS standards.
Account for all testing material usage and disposition.
Assist with calibration and maintenance activities of monitoring and measuring equipment.
Ensure NCR process and protocols are adhered to, and report deficiencies.
Assist with RCA activities for nonconformances.
Maintain identification and traceability of product samples/retains.
Maintain documentation for supplier certifications.
Regularly reviews work instructions and forms for accuracy and improvement.
Lead document creation / revision process for Inspection.
Manage inspection lot assignment in computer-based inventory management system.
Assist Quality Engineers in statistical analysis, investigations, and verification activities.
Support culture of teamwork and quality in the manufacturing environment.
Understand and support compliance of quality activities in accordance with ISO9001.
Deliver accurate oral and written communications to the off-shift Teams.
Facilitate face-to-face pass down meetings between shifts.
Coordinate, perform, and document training of new inspectors.
Manage off-shift inspector scheduling.
Help drive the initiatives of Quality Management.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Background in GDP.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates knowledge of utilizing drawings, precision measuring tools and fixtures.
Demonstrates solid proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
Ability to work across 3 shifts as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED.
Minimum of five (5) years of Quality Inspection experience.
Managing - experience directing resources to complete tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Root Cause Analysis experience.
SAP experience.
Associates degree in Business or Communications.
