Johnstone Supply is looking for a Director of Supply Chain and Product. A driven individual to drive business through strategic leadership, operational expertise, and cross-functional coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Director of Supply Chain and Product include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Planning & Management
Collaborate with senior leadership to define purchasing and product development strategies that align with the long-term business objectives. Manage the product and procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality or delivery timelines. Identify risks in the supply chain and product development processes and create strategies to mitigate them. Product Development & Management
Lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with business strategy and market needs. Monitor product performance and work with marketing and sales teams to optimize the product portfolio based on feedback and market trends. Manage product and procurement pathways. Purchasing & Procurement
Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring that sourcing strategies align with the product needs, cost targets, and quality standards. Evaluate suppliers based on key performance metrics including cost, quality, delivery times, and sustainability practices. Monitor and assess inventory levels to support demand forecasts and prevent overstock or shortages. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor a team of product managers, buyers, and procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance culture. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the product and purchasing teams, promoting innovation and operational excellence. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance teams to ensure product lines meet customer expectations and revenue goals. Partner with the legal team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and supplier agreements. Financial & Performance Management
Develop and own the company product budget and ensure the profitability and success of all products within the company. Ensure all products meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements. BENEFITS

Required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Management, or a related field. Specifically have management of 9-digit inventory values and purchasing. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computers and different software programs. Strong negotiation and project management skills. Minimum 10 years experience in a leadership role. Minimum 10 years experience in product management or procurement. Preferred HVAC distribution field experience. Master's degree in Business Administration. Strong knowledge of Eclipse (CRM). Strong background/understanding of branch operations and logistics.
