Position Overview :
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and oversight of ClearMind's substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programs, including detoxification and intensive outpatient services (IOP). This role requires clinical or medical licensure and ensures that all services are delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations. The Executive Director will lead an interdisciplinary team, oversee program development and ensure that patient care meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
Program Leadership: Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the detox and IOP programs (with Clinical Director), ensuring alignment with ClearMind’s mission and state regulatory requirements.
Staff Management: Supervise and mentor medical and administrative staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment. Participate in staff recruitment, training and performance evaluations.
Compliance & Policy Development: Develop and update policies and procedures to ensure the facility adheres to NCAC Subchapter 27G, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 and other relevant regulations.
Quality Assurance: Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and program outcomes and stay on top of industry trends and enhancements.
Direct Patient Care & Oversight: Oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, ensuring that all care is evidence-based and patient-centered and meet with each patient at least once one-on-one to provide care.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage program budgets, allocate resources efficiently and oversee program funding.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between ClearMind and community partners, referral sources and regulatory agencies.
Medication Inventory Management: Ensure all needed medications are ordered, stored and inventoried in accordance with patients' needs and all regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensure: Must possess active medical or clinical licensure in North Carolina, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Registered Nurse (RN).
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing or directing SUD treatment programs, with proven expertise in clinical supervision, program development and compliance.
Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, nursing or a related field required.
Certifications: Must maintain all relevant professional certifications and complete required continuing education for licensure.
Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage clinical and medical teams. In-depth knowledge of substance use treatment modalities, detox protocols and mental health interventions.
Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing SUD treatment facilities. Crisis management and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment:
Administrative and clinical oversight within a detox and IOP facility.
Full-time position, with potential for on-call duties in crisis or emergency situations.
Compensation:
This position comes with equity ownership. The ownership is estimated to be valued at $1.8-2.1 million within the next five years.
Median salary is $105,000 adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
