About the Position

We are seeking a Senior FX Trader to join our growing firm. This Senior FX Trader will report directly to a managing partner in Chicago. This trader must be able to demonstrate exemplary decision-making skills in addition to superior risk management, theoretical pricing, and market structure knowledge. This trader will be involved in trading and research with a focus on the FX spot market and related derivatives.

Responsibilities

Lead the expansion of Old Mission's FX trading efforts

Work closely with internal engineering and research teams to develop proprietary trading strategies, theoretical pricing models, and risk management techniques

Partner with our operations team in developing and managing critical clearing, vendor, ATS, and client relationships

Design, implement, and monitor trading strategies

Train and mentor a team of junior traders

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field

Qualified candidates will have a deep understanding of the FX market, including forecasting and trading, portfolio construction, optimization, and risk management

Ideal candidates will have some exposure to one of the following technologies: Python, SQL, and Excel/VBA

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills

Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while being instrumental in building a new business

Self-starter with a strong desire to make processes more efficient

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $250,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered to employees.
