We are seeking a dynamic, experienced classically trained Vice President of Sales to act as the right hand to our SVP Sales in managing our growing sales organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing and executing high-impact sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The VP of Sales will be a big-picture, strategic thinker who is also a hands-on and tactical operator that drives initiatives that directly flow through to bottom-line results. This individual can best be viewed as an entrepreneurial and high-energy manager with a growth and solutions-focused mindset. This person will maintain a roll-up-the-sleeves approach to achieving sales and revenue goals while quickly grasping the key drivers in the industry and developing strategic initiatives to effectively reach our target audience. The VP of Sales will bring a mentality of continuous improvement and change to the organization. Your primary responsibilities will be those of strategy formation, planner, tactician, manager, and motivator that works with the Regional Sales Directors to drive activity and performance through to results. You will be responsible for increasing the company’s revenue by providing clear leadership and management to the sales team, developing SOPs and pipeline guidelines to drive new business, and collaborating on marketing strategies to differentiate Exclusive in the market. You will know how to develop, motivate, and manage sales team against company goals with a fierce intolerance for mediocrity and an extreme drive towards achievement. The Ideal candidate will be a servant leader, who derives great satisfaction from the growth and development of the team. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop critical insights including surfacing challenges and how they are impacting Club members, making recommendations on how we can adapt future development efforts based on actual membership patterns, and identifying and driving the key levers that influence our business. Invigorate and drive new member acquisitions by working collaboratively with Marketing to achieve a dynamic mix of nationwide strategies to achieve established sales targets. As a strategic partner to the SVP Sales, you will develop a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and annual revenue growth targets. Develop and drive a highly successful lead-nurturing and lead-management program, evolving Exclusive to a balanced Member- and Prospect-marketing-driven organization. Develop and drive a membership retention program in all territories, working closely with direct reports to increase member trust, ensure maximum member satisfaction and a high propensity for referring. Establish and maintain a high level of work intensity for the team consistently each month and quarter, evidenced by a high volume of prospect meetings, member meetings, outbound and inbound calls, demos and presentations. Track and analyze sales performance data and manage all sales activities, account details, pipeline, and forecast through our salesforce.com CRM on a timely and accurate basis. Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Partnerships to establish a dedicated sales program focusing on channel sales leads to drive successful conversion of partner/channel leads. As the de-facto Chief-of-Staff for Sales, this individual will have day-to-day management of a team of approximately 20 sales professionals expected to achieve or exceed sales targets, with responsibility for direct sales team members which includes responsibility for inside Sales Development Representatives and outside Regional Sales Directors. Strong focus on recruiting, training and developing sales producers and implementing sales training and coaching programs to provide support in negotiating and closing deals. This includes creating a successful ongoing sales training program for strategic selling of new memberships, upgrades, extensions and other products. Travel to territories to work with Regional Sales Directors 30-50% of the time, depending on geographic makeup of the territory and performance of sales team members in the territory. Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, targets and quotas for the sales organization. BACKGROUND AND PROFILE:
10+ years progressive sales management experience which includes full P&L responsibility. With a balance of imaginative, creative and analytical skills, you will be collaborative by nature and extremely energetic, pragmatic and goal oriented. This person will be a natural cheerleader and champion for the sales organization. Our ideal candidate will also have solid knowledge and experience with acquisition marketing to drive and execute on the Company’s acquisition strategy. You must possess extraordinary passion, drive and willingness to work closely with team members in providing vision, direction and hands-on support in all aspects of the sales process. Must be extremely proficient in a variety of technology platforms. Proven track record of success in developing and executing high-impact sales strategies. Ability to motivate and inspire a team of sales professionals. Deep understanding of the company's products or services. Experience in building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers. Strong track record in a luxury service business that serves high and ultra-high net worth clients and a proven confidence, ease and familiarity in interacting with these individuals. Highly organized with strong management skills and demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop individuals as a coach and mentor. Teamwork focused, leads effectively and collaboratively toward common goals. Experienced with demonstrated understanding and proven record of success with top-of-the-funnel initiatives in lead generation and lead flow. Strong leadership and communication skills, written and verbal. Proven track record in sales negotiation and closing is a prerequisite. Outstanding executive presence, with the confidence and charisma to own the room at events and presentations. Achievement Orientation – Willing to work hard to get results. Thrives in a results-oriented environment where performance is measured consistently and where compensation is tied directly to performance.
