Position Summary/Purpose of Position: Reporting to the Associate Vice President for International Affairs, the Associate Director, Global Partnerships plays a key role in executing the global partnerships strategy within the Office of International Affairs (OIA). This position also assists in writing and editing grant and award proposals, directing the Fulbright Scholars program, and organizing various globally-oriented events. This position is instrumental in enhancing the University of Maryland’s international profile and creating meaningful opportunities for faculty, staff, and students. The Associate Director’s efforts will contribute directly to advancing the university’s strategic plan,

Required Qualifications: 3 years experience working with international partners in higher education or equivalent. 2 years experience organizing higher education events or equivalent. Demonstrated experience hosting international delegations. 3 years experience writing and editing agreements, briefings, grant and award proposals, or equivalent documents. Preferences: Proficiency in at least one world language other than English. Work experience in an international or other relevant office in a university setting. Additional Information: Salary range $120,000-$124,000. Job Risks: Not Applicable to This Position. Physical Demands: Sedentary/typical office work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
