Director, Business Development About this role As part of our Business Development team, you will work alongside passionate and innovative professionals to ensure our customers achieve their goals.
The Director, Business Development is responsible for the business development strategy and client retention in an allocated sales territory or with specified accounts. Key Responsibilities: Initiates, coordinates and develops strategic plans and sales strategies within a specified territory or accounts Meets annual sales goals and objectives Identifies new business sales opportunities for TFS and works with the internal TFS team to respond appropriately to any enquiry, for example, a Request for Information (RFI) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) Facilitates the preparedness of the TFS team in attending any client meetings, for example, Capabilities meetings or Bid Defense Meetings (BDM) Coordinates and monitors any budget or contract negotiations, post-award of any work to TFS within a specified territory or accounts Establishes and maintains regular contact and an excellent rapport with future and current clients Prepares and organizes sponsor presentations Collects critical information for proposal preparation Understands the RFI/RFP process and provides detailed input and leadership of the proposal process for each opportunity initiated Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or highly relevant industry experience Minimum of five (5) years of clinical research and/or sales experience Considerable sales experience of more than 3 years with strong negotiation and analytical skills Excellent communication skills and team leadership capabilities consistent with influencing and driving multiple stakeholders towards meeting the customer’s needs Excellent organisational, planning and multitasking skills, as well as a predisposition to entrepreneurship, results and customer focus What We Offer We provide a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity for personal and professional growth in a rewarding environment.
