Primary Function
The Sr Director - Change Management will lead and support teams and processes responsible for service transformation including, but not limited to, Change Management and Release Management. This position will also be responsible for the disaster recovery planning, coordination, and testing of the NewRez technical environment. Direct Reports
Disaster Recovery Business Analyst II Release Manager Change Manager Principal Duties
Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities. Leverage a change management methodology, process, and tools to create a strategy to support the adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative. Plan change windows and release cycles across the portfolio. Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality. Maintain the application inventory within the ITSM platform (ServiceNow). Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QC plans, schedule, and scope changes. Participate in technology planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies. Develop and communicate change management plans to the executive team, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders. Enhance IT responsiveness as well as business performance through modern IT infrastructure approaches and technologies. Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations. Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews. Communicate change details and schedules to the business as required. Negotiate, plan, and manage change activities. Partner with engineers to understand the impacts of branches and code merges. Maintain change schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors. Lead and coordinate the go-live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists. Maintain a repository and manage key information such as change and release procedures, dependencies, and notifications lists. Develop domain knowledge of NewRez’s businesses to include an understanding of short-term goals and long-term strategies for the organization. Maintain broad influence through the ongoing development of relationships across the organization. Manage business relationships and cultivate an environment of mutual trust and integrity. Ensure compliance with NewRez policies, processes, and practices. Institutionalize knowledge and methods to enable continuous improvement, performance gains, and consistency. Streamline business and IT processes and provide real-time visibility into infrastructure performance. Performs related duties as assigned by management. Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience required. Master’s Degree preferred. 10+ years of direct management responsibility overseeing IT and network infrastructure support professionals in a dynamic, high-growth environment. This includes direct and indirect leadership of director-level technical managers. 5+ years managing release, change, and or configuration management activities. Experience with diverse application environments (client/server, web services, RDBMS, etc.). Formal training in project management practices is a plus. Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle and processes and best practices. Experience in managing both waterfall as well as Agile/DevOps project lifecycles. Experience managing projects within specific schedules and cost structures. Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements
Strong business acumen. Ability to effectively maintain and leverage executive-level relationships, both internally and externally. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps. Knowledge of common operations tools, methods, and techniques. Proven success leading large complex projects.
