BioSkyrb Genomics is a biotechnology company headquartered in Durham, NC. We develop advanced technology products that enhance next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows in both the research and clinical space, using our proprietary genome amplification system. BioSkyrb makes this breakthrough technology available to customers in the form of consumable single-cell multiomics kits and reagents, informatics software, and related services. BioSkryb is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our fast-growing organization to manage our on-market product portfolio and lead our product development process pipeline. Responsibilities: Manage on-market ResolveDNA and ResolveOME Single-Cell Core Kit products to drive uptake and growth; manage product life cycle, enhancements, develop requirements, positioning and provide sales support. Lead core team activities for new products in product development. Conduct diligent market research and voice of customer surveys/interviews to make informed strategic and tactical decisions. Develop product roadmaps with milestones and deliverables. Interface with manufacturing, operations, quality and planning to ensure product supply and performance to meet customer expectations. Assess market needs and gaps, opportunities and trends, and competitive landscape for the defined portfolio. Maintain a constant review process to evaluate opportunities for product enhancements and cost reduction strategies. Provide short and long-term demand forecasts for assigned products. Serve as a primary customer advocate during product development; define market requirements and drive tradeoff decisions. Partner with R&D, Production, sales, and Marketing teams to provide guidance, input, and support for launch strategy and plans. Develop & deliver content for technical & sales training. Support periodic distributor training requests as needed by international field team. Contribute to long-term business strategy, including emerging applications. Contribute to the development of new product proposals and business cases. Requirements: Proven track record of managing and growing an on-market product portfolio. Proven track record of successfully launching new product offerings in the genomics space. Strong knowledge of NGS assays and workflows, with experience in single cell technologies. Experience developing and implementing strategic product plans. Skilled in working with different business functions and effectively coordinating their activities to achieve desired results. Experience conducting market research, survey analysis, voice of customer and other foundational marketing and product management activities. Exceptional time and project management skills and ability to independently prioritize competing requests. Excellent written, communication and presentation skills. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. Must thrive in a dynamic role and be very self-motivated and independent. Prior single-cell and cell and gene therapy market experience are highly preferred. Experience/Education: BA/BS in a scientific discipline, MBA/PhD preferred. Experience managing life science products and services in a related field. Experience managing NGS products highly preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in product management or technical product management within the life sciences field. Ability to travel 25% on average.
