About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Supply Chain Management to lead our organization's supply chain operations. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can optimize our supply chain processes, drive efficiency, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This position will report to the COO and will be based out of the Distribution Center in Manchester, CT.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the entire supply chain, including fleet management, logistics, warehousing, and distribution
Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
Oversee and optimize fleet management strategies to enhance transportation efficiency
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to align supply chain operations with overall business objectives
Implement and manage change effectively across the supply chain organization
Develop and mentor a team of tenured associates, balancing respect for experience with the introduction of innovative practices
Analyze complex data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
Manage relationships with key vendors and partners to optimize supply chain performance
Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction through enhanced supply chain performance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required
Proven experience in distribution center operations and logistics management
Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and change management initiatives
Strong understanding of fleet management principles and practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see the big picture
Outstanding leadership and team-building abilities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in supply chain management software and data analysis tools
