Job Description: Process Development EngineerPosition Overview: The Process Development Engineer is a key member of the operational management team, dedicated to optimizing the manufacturing process in terms of safety, quality, volume, and cost. This role emphasizes continuous improvement through process optimization and innovation. The Process Development Engineer is expected to provide shop floor leadership and enhance the professional image of the operational management team through effective actions and communication. This position reports directly to the Plant Superintendent.Key Responsibilities:Optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, volume, and cost.Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing.Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Standard Work Instructions (SWI), and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PID).Utilize CAD and Maximo software for process development and documentation.Required Hard Skills:Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing.1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in creating SOPs, SWIs, and PIDs.Experience with CAD and Maximo software.Work Environment:Manufacturing environment with a strong focus on safety, quality, volume, and cost.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
