The Northrop Grumman Weapon Systems (WSD) Division is seeking a Director of Manufacturing and Infrastructure 2 to join our team located in Linthicum or at one of our major sites: Northridge, Elkton, Rocket Center, Plymouth. This position will be a member of the Operations Leadership Team of the division.

This position will be responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end manufacturing operations, infrastructure management, facility maintenance, and EHS programs within a highly regulated industry including energetics environments.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in manufacturing leadership, infrastructure and facility management, and environmental health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all manufacturing processes to ensure they meet production, quality, and cost-efficiency goals.
  2. Develop strategies for optimizing manufacturing workflows, implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  3. Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to improve product quality and production timelines.
  4. Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations in all manufacturing activities.
  5. Direct the management of infrastructure and facilities to meet operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  6. Oversee facility maintenance and infrastructure upgrades to support ongoing production needs.
  7. Develop long-term facility and infrastructure plans to support organizational growth.
  8. Ensure facilities are secure, compliant with defense industry standards, and optimized for energy efficiency.
  9. Lead EHS programs to foster a safe and compliant working environment.
  10. Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and emergency response drills.
  11. Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and drive initiatives for waste reduction.
  12. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic plans that align with business goals.
  13. Monitor and report on key performance indicators across all areas.
  14. Prepare and manage budgets for manufacturing, facilities, infrastructure, and EHS.
  15. Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team.
  16. Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field of study and 15+ years of relevant professional experience (or 12+ years with a Master's degree).
  2. Experienced manager with at least 5 years leading diverse functional or program teams.
  3. Results-oriented team player, with strong judgment/decision-making skills.
  4. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills.
  5. Management experience, including managing offsite and matrixed personnel.
  6. Proficiency in manufacturing management software and EHS compliance tools.
  7. Understanding of Lean methodologies and implementation.
  8. Demonstrated experience leading cross-discipline teams.
  9. 20% travel is required.
  10. Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior Northrop Grumman Sector-specific experience.
  2. Prior experience managing complex projects for Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations.
  3. Creative thinking to solve resource challenges.
  4. Strong interpersonal and written skills.
  5. Experience managing supplier relationships.
  6. DoD service or experience with DoD customers.
  7. Current Top-Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $179,500 - $311,800
