Overview of the Senior Tax Manager:
Corporate Income Tax
Oversee multi-state PL 86-272 elections and adjust for economic presence changes with Directors and tax consultants.
Calculate current and deferred income tax provisions, prepare journal entries, and reconcile tax payables. Collaborate with Finance for year-end balances and reconciliations.
Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules; integrate tax schedules into SAP.
Maintain US Consolidation, investment, and equity roll-forwards. Ensure proper recording of changes in capital or dividends.
Review Form 1099s for accuracy and timely filing.
Update Transfer Pricing Information annually, prepare Form 5472 and 263A UNICAP calculations.
Manage federal and state income tax returns, estimates, extensions, and audits.
Update Accumulated Earnings and Profits (E&P) for dividends.
State Sales Tax and Tax Reporting
Monitor state tax regulation changes and product profiles. Run and review tax reports, resolve inconsistencies with software providers.
Join monthly industry calls with tax experts to stay informed about remote sales regulations.
Review state and sales tax returns monthly
Handle annual Tangible Personal Property Tax Reporting.
Stay updated on technological and regulatory changes to enhance innovation and compliance.
Senior Tax Manager Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Public/private mix
5+ years at a medium to large firm with US distribution experience (Within the last 5 years)
Sales & use tax experience & corporate tax
Distribution/Manufacture/Retail/Tobacco industry experience is a plus
Salary: $120,000-$130,000
