Key Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:
Manage cost accounting processes to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation.
Conduct profitability analyses to drive strategic decision-making.
Compile budget and forecast documentation, providing key insights to management.
Perform variance analysis to identify and explain differences between budgeted and actual financial performance.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Preferred Qualifications of the Cost Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.
Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with PLEX software is a plus.
