Summary: Southwest Little Rock Clinic - PRN (hours vary as needed during clinic hours - not benefit-eligible) - BILINGUAL (SPANISH/ENGLISH) STRONGLY PREFFERRED - requires national certification & 1 year MA exp.
Working under the direction of a physician, provides direct patient care to assigned patients by assisting in their examination and treatment.
Additional Information: Southwest Little Rock Clinic PRN (hours vary as needed during clinic hours - not benefit-eligible) BILINGUAL (SPANISH/ENGLISH) STRONGLY PREFFERRED Requires national certification & 1 year MA exp.
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED and completion of accredited medical assistant program
Recommended Education:
Required Work Experience: Related Field - 1 year healthcare or related setting as MA
Recommended Work Experience:
Required Certifications: 1 of the following certifications is required -
Recommended Certifications: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - -, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - -, Registered Medical Assistant - -
Description
1. Completes and documents patient care in a safe, efficient and timely manner in the chart/record.
2. Plans, prioritizes and organizes patient care tasks
3. Completes routine patient care tasks, including lab functions and medication administration (including vaccines).
4. Recognizes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed staff or provider.
5. Demonstrates knowledge of emergency situations and reacts appropriately.
6. Performs access-related activities and other support duties as assigned.
7. May participate in project management such as Vaccines for Children (VCF) and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) etc.
8. Participates on hospital and system committees.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
