Schedule:
Monday-Friday (3:00pm-11:30pm)
This position plays a supporting role in the shipping, receiving, and distribution department. The warehouse associate will receive, input, sort, load and unload products and will perform various warehouse activities.
An ideal applicant will be highly skilled, consistently punctual and enjoy working with a variety of skilled individuals who share similar values and goals. General Duties/Responsibilities Promote culture of proper warehouse housekeeping and safety standards
Take necessary actions to correct or stop any unsafe conditions or practices and actively participate in safety initiatives Safe operation of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as forklifts and pallet jacks in high pedestrian traffic production areas Maintain a current forklift operator's license Perform every job safely, for the benefit of self, co-workers, contractors, and for the protection of facilities. This includes the use of required personal protective equipment and use of safety equipment/devices, guarding, as well as safe work practices Perform general housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks Report any and all safety concerns and job-related injury or illness immediately to the appropriate person and assist in investigating accidents Be aware of and follow FedUp Foods Hazard Communication plan
Handle inbound and outbound shipments
Accurately document all shipments Unload inbound deliveries and stack them to assigned places Inspect all deliveries for potential damage or quality deficiencies before driver leaves and escalate issues accordingly Ensure the outbound trailer meets SQF standards Load outbound trucks with correct inventory Check, verify and fill customer invoices
Use RFID equipment to track inventory movements and maintain accurate stock records Locate, stack, restack, and move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment Travel throughout the warehouse to retrieve and stack specific products and quantities in the appropriate locations Transport raw materials to production workstations Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs Operate and inspect powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts and report any irregularities to the appropriate person Charge and maintain PIT equipment safely and efficiently Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities Follow GMP policy when in the production facility and encourage your team to do the same. Understand our SQF policies relating to pest control, visitors, allergen management, and cleaning and sanitation. Demonstrate awareness of Management's Commitment to SQF and work towards Food Safety and Quality and help the company meet this commitment. If there is a problem that involves food quality and safety, report to the Quality Assurance Manager Manager so that the CAPA (corrective action, preventative action) log may be filled out, the situation be investigated, and resolved with the goal of continuous improvement of food quality and safety. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment in a safe manner Ability to read code dates, product labels, and racking labels Good organizational and time management skills Ability to navigate a variety of computer software applications, previous ERP experience a plus Comfortable working both independently and as a team player Attention to detail Heightened awareness of safety precautions and hazards for self and others Extended shifts, overtime, and weekends may be needed based on business needs Flexibility in work hours is necessary to meet operational demands Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required Warehouse experience, minimum 1 yr preferred Forklift experience required Work Environment/Physical Requirements 30 minute unpaid lunch break; two paid 15 minute breaks Prolonged periods of standing and walking Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, climb, and reach at times Ability to work in a crowded, noisy manufacturing environment, and be able to navigate extremes in temperatures Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs solo and 75 lbs shared EEO Statement
