Controller will report directly to the CEO and have 1 direct report
Overview of the Controller role: The Controller will report directly to the CEO Oversee the monthly close process, including the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement analysis. Create and maintain monthly reports to compare and analyze actual results against budgets, forecasts, and previous results. Prepare sales and use tax returns. Issue timely and complete financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements. Coordinate the preparation of external monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Assist external auditors with the annual audit. Coordinate the preparation of income tax returns and provision requests. Assist with the integration of acquisitions.
Preferred Qualifications for the Controller: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related Recent manufacturing experience Strong understanding of GAAP Strong analytical skills Must be strong in Excel
