This involves building and managing a highly engaged team of engineers to ensure that they are positioned for growth and success. Lead a team of engineers that design and develop kinematic solutions for robotic manipulators and surgical instruments Represent your team to the wider software organization Partner with the greater R&D organization (quality, systems, etc.) Build sustainable processes for product development Drive best practices within your functional area Remove barriers for the team Participate in design reviews Mentor and coach your team membersMust Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience. Nice to Have Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 8 years of relevant experience. Applied controls, traditional robotics, and inverse kinematics knowledge. Mechanical or Robotics Engineering experience. Experience managing full product development cycle for software, from concept through to release and maintenance. Knowledge for how to manage teams in a large organization. Great communication skills: Strong ability to coordinate people and teams around unstructured challenges and moving project priorities. Knowledgeable of software development workflows and best practices Experience building models with Simulink, especially real time control systems. Knowledge of robotics, specifically medical robotics, or other capital equipment medical devices. Knowledge of medical device development process: 60601, 13485, 62304. Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one job area.Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. PR) locations (USD):$150,400.00 - $225,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
