75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE (not driving distance) - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS. Please only submit candidates that area aware of their submission to our facility. Job Description : Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken and patient responses. Coordinates patients care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician, or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. This is a 13-week contract assignment and requires at least one 13-week previous travel assignment and two (2) years current experience required in specialty.
Certifications : BLS and ACLS certification required and must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
Shifts : 12-hour Night Shift; start time 1900. Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required, per staff rotation. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts. Position will float to other areas as needed, within scope of practice.
EMR : EPIC experience preferred, but not required; can train on-site.
Orientation : 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.
Scrubs : Required and not provided by the facility. May wear ANY solid color. The scrub top, pant, and jacket (if worn) must be the same solid color to match.
