Goryeb Childrens Hospital at Morristown Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a full-time, board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join its Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department. As the original Valerie Fund Childrens Center in New Jersey, the hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality care close to home for pediatric patients across Northern New Jersey. A full member of the Childrens Oncology Group, the center manages approximately 40 new oncology patients, and 600 new outpatient hematology consults annually. The physician will handle both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities on a rotating basis and must be comfortable with lumbar punctures as well as bone marrow aspiration and biopsy.
The ideal candidate will be board-certified in pediatrics, fellowship-trained, and board-certified in pediatric hematology/oncology, with a strong commitment to patient- and family-centered care. Goryeb Childrens Hospital hosts a 38-physician pediatric residency program and serves as a branch campus of Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, offering ample teaching and research opportunities. Quality improvement and clinical research, especially in collaboration with residents, are integral to the role.
Role and Responsibilities:
- The physician will collaborate with pediatric surgery, pediatric urology, pediatric neurosurgery, orthopedic oncology, and radiation oncology to provide comprehensive care.
- The multidisciplinary team, currently in growth mode, includes 3 advanced nurse practitioners, a nurse manager, APHON-certified nurses, social workers, a psychologist, an educational liaison, a child life specialist, a dietitian, and CRAs. Patients also benefit from acupuncture, pet therapy, and daily integrative medicine opportunities.
- The physician will ensure that the physical and psychosocial needs of patients and their families are met throughout treatment and will continue to provide care in the long-term follow-up program after the completion of therapies.

Qualifications
- Must be BE/BC in Pediatrics
- Fellowship trained in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- 3-5 years of post-fellowship experience is preferred.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven group
