Client Details

This general contractor is well known in the South Florida market of construction with an office local to Palm Beach County. Their pipeline of projects include multifamily and commercial construction such as municipal facilities, office spaces, mid to high rise apartments and condos, healthcare or education work and more. They are looking to advance their preconstruction team by adding a senior estimator to be a team leader.

Description

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for commercial and multifamily construction projects.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documents to develop estimates.
  • Conduct material take-offs, labor estimates, and subcontractor evaluations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks during the bidding process.
  • Analyze historical data to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Provide value-engineering solutions and cost-saving recommendations.

Profile

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in estimating, with a focus on commercial and multifamily construction projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
