United Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Same Day Clinic- Binghamton (IM) to join our Binghamton Internal Medicine department at UHS Summit Building in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Same Day Clinic- Binghamton (IM) / Overview
We are seeking a board certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for our UHS Binghamton Medical Center- Same Day Clinic Provider.
This is a busy, Family Medicine out-patient practice in a well-established office and we are looking for a Family Medicine provider to handle same day appointments and wellness visits as needed for infants to adult patients. This position is 100% outpatient. Office hours Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with no call.
Provides primary care to patients, collaborating with and under the direction of physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient’s primary healthcare provider.

Education/Experience
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Minimum Required:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
- Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
- Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Minimum Required:
- Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)certification
- Current NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and certification with New York State Education Department
- Documentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employment
- Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Possession of Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD)Number
Work Environment
- All work is performed in offices and patient examination rooms that require working in close quarters with other employees and patients. The offices are air conditioned/heated. Travel to other UHS Physician Practice locations may be necessary.
