ICU RN

  • Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements if candidate has AK license in hand).
  • Shift: Variable Day/Night 12 hr shift 7a or 7p
  • Ratios: 1 nurse up to 2 pts
  • Years of Experience REQ: accepting all ICU experienced nurses. Travel experience is preferred.
  • Epic REQ? 1 year of experience preferred.
  • First-Timers Accepted: Yes
  • Weekend REQ: TBD
  • Certs REQ: AK RN, ACLS, PALS, BLS
  • Skills REQ: 1 year of Epic experience is preferred. Tele interpretation, ventilators, and IV insertion, PICC lines are the skills required.
  • Is on-call REQ? No
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, to Med Surg/ COVID/LTC if needed.
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? TBD
  • Locals Accepted: No
  • Pending License Accepted: would prefer they already have their Alaska License but not required. If they don't start date must be set 10-12 weeks out.
  • RTO Restrictions: No
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 GWW
  • Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: CHF, Diabetes, COPD, AKI,Bowel Obstructions, Appendicitis, Chest Pain, Recovery, Cardioversions, DKA
  • Any special procedure done on the unit? Cardioversions, Tikosyn
  • Common Equipment: Glucometer, sequential compression device, bucs traction, walker, gait belt, phillips monitoring, pressure reduction/ air beds, dinamapp, chair alarms, hoyer lift, sara steady, bladder scanner, vein finder,zoll, PAPR, kangaroo pump, syringe pump, telemetry, wheelchairs, CPM machine, Stryker T-pump, IV pump FACILITY INFORMATION
