Job Description
A Livingston based client is seeking an experienced Pediatrician to provide excellent urgent care services to patients from age 0 to 19 years old. An ideal candidate is a leader who works well collaboratively, values evidence-based practice, and values patient centered care. This candidate should be comfortable treating children and discussing outcomes with children and families.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
- Current NJ medical license
- Completed an accredited residency program
- Current DEA certificate
- Board certified or board eligible pediatrics
- Current CPR certification
- 3+ years of experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in children in urgent care setting
- Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
- Perform therapeutic procedures and educate patients and families on treatment plans
- Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
- Supervise NPs and PAs within state regulations
- Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
