Position Highlights
We are a 30 bed Inpatient Adult Psych unit caring for the stabilization of acute symptoms of the psychiatrically impaired population. During the course of admission, we address acute psychiatric intervention and facilitate discharge planning to facilitate safe transitions to the next level of care or return to the community. The patients we serve frequently have comorbid medical and/or substance use illnesses. We are supported by an interdisciplinary team comprised of psychiatrists, NPP, clinicians, nurses and patient care technicians. We also work collaboratively with a covering Medical Group and all specialties are available to us by consult.

Responsibilities
- The Registered Professional Nurse has the responsibility and accountability to utilize the nursing process to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential problems of individuals or groups.
- The Registered Professional Nurse works within and contributes to an environment where the St. Peter’s Health Partners’ mission is actualized, patient outcomes are achieved, and professional practice realized.
- Current NYS RN license
- Minimum of one years' experience is preferred, but not required
- Basic Life Support Certification
