DescriptionIn the specific areas of responsibilities noted below, provide support for the on-going compliance with environmental regulations. Responsibilities may differ based on prior candidate experience and department needs.Provides support as needed for environmental compliance and permitting projects.Maintains current knowledge of existing and proposed regulations and provides technical support to refinery on topics related to environmental compliance.Ensures federal, state or applicable government reporting obligations (e.g., SARA 313 reports; Emission Inventories; NSPS Reports; MACT Reports; Annual Waste Summary Reports, AQMD Regulation Reports) are completed in a timely and compliant manner.Maintains operational records necessary to demonstrate compliance with assigned environmental regulations/programs.Assists with permitting tasks as needed, local AQMD experience is preferred. Communicates effectively with Engineering and Operations personnel to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits is continually achieved.Participates in on-call duty rotation with the department, knowledge of refinery units preferred.Ensures assigned Spill/Upset/Emission Event/Reporting requirements are satisfied in accordance with all applicable regulations.Performs other duties as assigned.This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay..The [salary range] [rate] for this position is $126,880 to $174,460 and represents Valero’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation at the time of this posting.  Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications and experience.QualificationsBachelors of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering or related Science degree is required.Five years of Environmental Engineering or related refinery engineering experience is required.Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Wilmington Refinery, required.All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
