The Product Quality team is looking for a highly motivated quality professional to support outbound quality management. You will be responsible for sustaining quality management for many of Apple’s Softgoods products.DescriptionUse data and field insights to drive ongoing product improvements with cross-functional and OEM partners
Conduct periodic reviews of Field and Factory Quality Data with internal and external partners
Define and manage ongoing quality testing and associated costs
Lead quality escalations to closure by applying technical and program management skills
Lead field quality evaluation after product launch
Drive quality solutions and best practices across multiple cross-functional teams and supply chain nodes
Consolidate detailed cross-functional data into concise insights for executive briefings
Ability to travel up to 15%Minimum Qualifications3+ years experience supporting new product launches from a mechanical, product quality or product development perspectiveBachelors degree in an engineering discipline such as mechanical or industrial engineeringPreferred QualificationsProject management experience, including influencing others without direct authorityExperience working with high volume international manufacturers and traveling to manufacturing sitesResults-driven and detail-oriented leadership experience requiredExcellent written and verbal communication, proven ability to present effectively to leadershipData-driven approach to problem solvingExperience with part reliability methods, quality sampling methodologies, and statistical techniquesFinance/business acumen – understand cost drivers and derive/optimize costs associated with managing qualityExperience managing consumer product performance in the field (“eye of the customer”)Technical knowledge related to Softgoods products is a plusExperience with packout & supply chain logistics is a plusPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $122,300 and $184,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
