They are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer specializing in Vibration Analysis to lead and manage the design, testing, and implementation of vibration control systems for our automotive robotics platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design, dynamics, and vibration analysis, particularly in the context of high-precision robotic systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of mechanical systems with a focus on vibration mitigation and control for robotic platforms. Perform vibration analysis and modal testing to identify and address resonances, vibration sources, and their effects on robotic performance. Develop innovative solutions to optimize mechanical structures, minimize vibrations, and enhance stability and accuracy of robotic systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate vibration control solutions into robotic products. Conduct simulations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate dynamic performance, ensuring vibration characteristics meet automotive industry standards. Oversee the development and testing of prototypes, ensuring design integrity through vibration testing and validation. Lead efforts in continuous improvement of mechanical design processes and methodologies for vibration analysis and control. Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the overall engineering strategy within the company. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in vibration control technologies and automotive robotics. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on Dynamics, Vibrations, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, with extensive experience in vibration analysis and mitigation. Expertise in modal analysis, vibration testing, and system dynamics, including proficiency with FEA and vibration simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus). Proven experience in the automotive or robotics industry, with a strong understanding of industry-specific vibration challenges. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science, and precision engineering. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex vibration analysis into practical solutions. Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and product lifecycle management tools. Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with active vibration control and damping technologies. Familiarity with ISO vibration standards in automotive applications.
