Under minimal supervision of the Production Supervisor. Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the Responsibilities will include performing routine and complex tasks related to product. Works from simple to moderately complex drawings, diagrams, schematics and instructions to prepare a variety of components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.Key ResponsibilitiesManually solders surface mount and fine pitch components using a variety of fluxes, solders, and solder pastesPerforms manual through-hole assembly and PCB repair for both through-hole and SMT assembliesMeasure, cut, strip lead wires or cables, using small hand toolsUses various measurement instruments such as scales, tape measure, calipers, and special production related fixturesAssembles and tests electronic and mechanical components using small hand tools and electronic test instruments such as digital multimeter, dielectric tester, and various other product specific test equipmentApplies a variety of fluxes, epoxies, cements, cleaning fluids, and lubricants to components or subassemblies, some of which require special handling requirementsPerforms a variety of production pass-fail testing on assembliesPerforms simple typing, etching, or stamping functions to label productsUse PC based software to establish charts, graphs, and calibration dataRecord and maintain test results for production analysisAssist with manufacturing to alleviate manpower shortagesFollows safety practices and housekeepingMaintains quality of product, process and documentation by following established regulations, procedures, instructions andstandardsOther duties as requiredEducational Requirements High School Diploma or GED2-year technical degree preferred or equivalent work experienceDesired Background and Skill Requirements2-5 years of experience or training/specialization in a manufacturing environmentIntermediate computer skills requiredAbility to use basic arithmetic and algebraAbility to understand and follow instructions or proceduresSolder training required; electronics training a plusMust be familiar with simple electronic instruments for measuring resistance, current, and voltageMust be able to read and follow simple drawings, wiring diagrams, and written procedures as well as some complex drawingAttention to detailExtended periods of sitting, standing, some stooping or bendingGood color vision and hearing (correction acceptable)Ability and willingness to work extended shift hours, weekends, and overtime to accommodate manufacturing needsMust have ability to obtain The Company qualification/certification(s) as requiredStanding, stooping, or sitting for extended periods up to 2 hours; occasional lifting or pushing up to 50 poundsMust be able to lead and work effectively in a team environmentLives the "continuous improvement" philosophy; develops and adopts new ideas and conceptsWe offer medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, health savings accounts, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with a Company match.This contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60-1.4(a), 60-741.5(a).
