Student Assistant: AV Equipment Job no: 542118 Work type: Student Assistant Location: Stanislaus - Turlock Categories: Excluded Position Summary One temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant position in Art. Start Date Position available on or after September 3, 2024 and ending on or before May 30, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance. Job Description/Duties Duties include but are not limited to: Assist in ensuring AV equipment kits are checked out / returned in a consistent and standardized manner. Assist in ensuring all accessories are accounted for, flagging missing parts. Assist in making repairs as needed. Assist in ensuring batteries are charged between checkouts. Assist in ensuring media cards are reformatted. Assist in ensuring AV area is kept organized and clean. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates experience entering/auditing data into Excel worksheets (i.e. inventory data). Demonstrates record-keeping experience. Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems creatively. Demonstrates experience working in an art-studio/laboratory environment. Demonstrates familiarity with Microsoft programs including Word and Excel. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to follow instructions. Demonstrates the ability to pay attention to detail. Required Qualifications: Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units. Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
