Responsibilities: We currently have a great opportunity available for a Marketing Communications & Operations Sr. Specialist. The Sr. Specialist, Marketing Communications & Operations is responsible for developing communications and leading projects in a fast-paced Marketing Communications department. This includes content development for corporate and external audiences utilizing digital, social and traditional channels as well as managing the development and implementation of marketing operational activities in four key areas: writing, branding, promotion and operational administration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS: Collaborates with the Marketing Communications team and Product Managers to write compelling content for social media, advertising campaigns, sales materials, digital campaigns, email campaigns, video scripts, articles for trade publications and corporate presentations. 2. CONTENT MARKETING: With internal subject matter experts, develops, and coordinates marketing communications plan for product to include market introduction and product end-of-support communications. Product lifecycle communications includes product notifications, website content, email campaigns, video scripts, articles for trade publications and corporate presentations. 3. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Leads regular marketing cross-functional project meetings. Manages the MarCom project database to ensure appropriate resource allocation, timely communications, execution of deliverables and completion of projects. Uses established Smartsheet tracking form and other tools to keep status current with the assistance of project owners. Monitors and communicates schedules; keeps teams informed; escalates issues and assists team in resolving issues; works as liaison for successful on-time projects. 4. MARKETING OPERATIONS: Manages marketing collateral through creation, review and distribution channels. Ensures customer-facing content is acceptable by legal and regulatory standards. With appropriate internal teams, coordinates publishing of materials to website, Customer Resource Center, social media, trade publications and email channels. 5. OPERATIONAL ADMINISTRATION: Serves as process business owner of the Sysmex Product Labeling and Communications Review workflow process in Veeva Vault used by All Americas. Manage day-to-day operations, including communicating process and periodic changes to approvers, responding to and addressing issues that arise and conducting user training for All Americas as needed. Serves as the primary Marketing Communications reviewer to ensure adherence to branding as well as correct punctuation and grammar. Manages the Sysmex Communications Review (COP-0009), including expediting, tracking, filing and distribution of such materials through various channels, including on website, through email, in print, etc. 6. WRITING OPERATIONS: Collaborates with Product Marketing Managers to understand and distill technical/scientific information for the purpose of communicating to diverse audiences through multiple communication mediums. 7. BRAND COMMUNICATION: Operationalize brand guidelines to ensure compliance to corporate standards, including support of the content review process for a range of materials to ensure corporate voice and message consistency and adherence to brand guidelines. 8. PROMOTION OPERATIONS: Monitors literature and collateral inventory and communicates status of usage and inventory to management on a routine basis. Helps develop strategies to maximize usage and awareness of available promotional literature. Facilitates ordering and re-ordering of print collateral through outside print services. Tracks and manages print spend and obtains price quotations and places orders. 9. COLLABORATION: Coordinates communications plans with Sysmex Marketing Communications teams in Latin America and Canada to include managing translations, collaborating on sales collateral and advertising campaigns, and social media messaging. Works with Communication and Marketing teams from Sysmex Headquarters in Kobe Japan. Collaborates with the product marketing and the sales teams to ensure consistency of messages, branding, design language and positioning. 10. Other duties as assigned. Percentage of Travel: 15% Physical Risks: Regular exposure to risk that may require alertness, but with minimal precautions. Physical Demands: Light physical effort. Routine handling of objects up to 20 pounds; prolonged (at least 50% of time) sitting, standing, keyboard or CRT work. May require periods of moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting and/or other conditions. Individual Education & Training Required for Position: Training required for this position is defined and governed in accordance to COP-0013 Associate Training and will be assigned in the LMS Qualifications: Bachelors degree or 8-10 years experience required in writing and marketing communications, marketing content development and internal communications in healthcare or related industry, which may include experience in the Armed Forces. Bachelors degree with a specialization in Marketing Communications, English, Journalism, Medical Technology, Biology/Chemistry, Technical Communications or a related field preferred. Experience with biological/medical principles and medical technology terminology a plus. Samples of work are required. Ability to speak/write/read Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus Proficiency in Microsoft products: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as publishing applications and social media. Experience with Smartsheet a plus. Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications skills are essential. Ability to distill complex medical technology and industry information into concise, effective messages is required. Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics and implementation. Excellent communications skills and works easily with diverse groups of people. Clear understanding of product positioning, target marketing, market segmentation to healthcare industry a plus. High sense of urgency and ability to work under tight timelines and effectively prioritize. Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
