Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Summary:
Our client is looking to add an accounting clerk to the accounting team due to continued growth.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (Finance degree or MBA considered with relevant work experience)
Minimum 3 years of experience in financial close process and financial reporting
Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with ERP software
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Full onsite work environment initially, with hybrid opportunities available after training
Responsibilities Include:
Oversee inventory, payroll, fixed assets, and financial close process
Assist in inventory count compilation and conduct recount audits; maintain accurate inventory subledger
Execute month-end close activities, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts and posting journal entries; conduct financial analysis
Prepare monthly financial statements and various financial reports
Aid in the preparation of annual operating budget and update financial forecasts
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
Prepare and file state sales tax and CAT returns, and issue forms 1099
Provide support to CPA firm during audits and tax filings
Document and update standard operating procedures
Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned by management
