Associate Attorney - General Liability/Professional Liability - Hybrid in San Francisco, CA

A prominent law firm is currently in search of a litigation associate to join their distinguished general liability/professional liability practice group at their San Francisco office. The are seeking an exceptional candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in general liability or professional liability, with a preference for those who have experience representing both design professionals and miscellaneous professionals. Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
  • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior attorneys to provide legal advice
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in general liability of professional liability defense
  • Must have excellent writing and oral advocacy skills and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice.
  • Must also be a self-starter who possesses strong organizational skills, is able to work with multiple clients, and is ready to hit the ground running.
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
  • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
  • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Successful completion of the bar exam
  • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
