Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trust accounting, financial statement preparation, and reviewing tax returns for individuals and trusts. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage trust accounting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Prepare comprehensive financial statements for family members.
Review and analyze tax returns for individuals and trusts, ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support family members' financial goals.
Maintain and update accounting records and ledgers.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Support family members with ad-hoc financial queries and requests.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on trust accounting and tax return preparation.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
