12 hr shifts, 6:45am-6:45pm, 6:45pm-6:45am Self scheduling but not guaranteed Weekend Requirement: every other Holidays: one major and one minor Additional Details
COVID Vaccine Required Unit: ACU - Combo of Telemetry, medsurg, and DOU # beds: 50 beds Ratios: 1 to 5 medsurg, 1 to 4 tele, 1 to 3 for DOU EMR: Cerner Charge Nurse: Yes Nurse Aides: depends on census Scrub Color: navy Tele Monitors: phillips - they do have a monitor tech, NURSES MUST BE ABLE TO READ STRIPS Do nurses read strips: yes Drips: yes - cardizem, amoidarone (non-titrating) Vents: yes - bipap or cpap, DOU will sometime get chronic vents, travelers will not work DOU Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes - on call after hours, hospitalist is shared between SJRMC and SJPVH IV Team: No RT 24/7: yes Pharmacy 24/7: yes Floating: ACU will float between medsurg and tele Floor specific orientation: one shift at each facility Common diagnosis / Types of patients: post surgical, ortho, cardiac; 7p-7a, EOW first to float
