This position is accountable for the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with communicative and/or cognitive impairments, and feeding/swallowing disorders. Demonstrates independent clinical skill in the following: Speech/Language Assessment and Speech/Language Therapy. Demonstrates independent clinical assessment and intervention skill in at least three of the following: Dysphagia: Swallowing Studies, Feeding and Swallowing Assessment/Therapy; Resonance: Nasometry, Nasoendoscopy, Resonance Disorders Assessment/Therapy; Rehab: Speech-Cognitive-Communication Disorders Assessment/Therapy; NICU/High Risk Assessment/Therapy; Autism Spectrum Disorders Assessment/Therapy; AAC/PECS Assessment/Therapy. The person participates in orientation, training, and oversight of student clinicians, new office staff and new professional staff.

Our speech pathologists work closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout our healthcare system which include Craniofacial, Rehab Follow Up, High Risk Infant Follow Up, Cochlear Implant, and inpatient care units including NICU, PICU, Rehab, and primary and specialty care practices. Our team is seeking individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families and who are looking for an opportunity to develop and strengthen clinical skills in a highly impactful and flexible team environment.
Valley Children's Healthcare - one of the largest pediatric healthcare networks in the nation - provides Central California's only high-quality, comprehensive care exclusively for children, from before birth to young adulthood. EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three years pediatric experience required, or minimum of five years related experience required. Bilingual skills desirable. EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required. Speech Pathologist (SP) licensure required. American Speech Language Association (ASHA) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position required.
