The Lease Accountant will be responsible for administering leases for their properties, ensuring the property accounting in compliance with the terms of the leases, preparation of rent and expense recoveries, other tenant billings, and responding to tenant inquiries regarding rental and additional charges.
Job Description: Interpret and abstract new leases, amendments, and other lease documents, and input into system Generate monthly charges and provide tenants with monthly statements Manage, draft and track commencement agreements, and update lease information Prepare Welcome, Rent Commencement letters, and other correspondence Prepare recovery pools and year end reconciliation for CAM, taxes, and insurance Prepare income projections, post rental charges, and provide annual CAM/RET/Insurance estimates Monitor Gross Sales and prepare percentage rent billings Monitor critical lease dates such as Letters of Credits, Security Deposit reductions, Term, Notice, Lease options, and exercise dates Timely & accurately provide lease information to various departments, as needed Work closely with leasing/legal and resolve tenant /landlord lease interpretation disputes Monitor payments and post cash applications to tenant accounts Rent collection, tenant correspondence, and communication with tenants as necessary Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related fields 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, real estate preferred Strong analytical ability Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Capable of working both independently and as part of a team, flexible and able to multitask Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and experience with database management and accounting software.
