Community Relations Director Job Description
Purpose:
To manage all internal and external marketing functions of the community to ensure a positive reputation of the community among referral sources and potential customers, and in order to achieve or exceed community occupancy goals.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred • Previous marketing experience in a senior housing setting preferred. • Previous business development experience in a related setting and / or reality preferred. • Must be able to read, write and speak English, and demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish effective networking relationships. • Must have an in-depth knowledge of basic sales and marketing principles and practices. • Proficiency in basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and/or sales & marketing software required. • Must be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner in terms of communication, conduct and appearance, to referral sources, potential customers, and to the general public. • Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure. • Must maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials. • Must maintain current Food Handlers credentials. • Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits. • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation. • Subject to pre-employment screening including physical, drug and TB testing and criminal background check.
Essential Functions:
Marketing • Conducts competitive analysis of local market on a quarterly basis and provides report of findings to Executive Director and Living Care Lifestyles home office. • Responsible for the development and implementation of a quarterly marketing plan that incorporates community strengths and weaknesses in relation to competitors, and to current market trends and forecasts. • Develops and implements community outreach programs and events that will provide contact with referral sources and potential customers. • Is responsible for planning and coordinating community media advertising. • Is responsible for maintaining an inventory of community marketing collateral and for updating written information, as necessary.
Sales Management
• Responsible for achieving or exceeding budgeted census goals as established by Executive Director and Living Care Lifestyles home office, and for maintaining a pattern of measurable growth toward stabilization in lease-up communities. • Maintains accurate records of all inquiries, tours, and networking contacts. • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of census and move-in and move-put activity to management and is accountable for explaining such activity as required. • Prepares and submits other reports as requested by Executive Director and/or home office. • Maintains a viable and accurate waiting list of potential residents. • Is responsible for entire sales process including building the prospect base, generating tours, and obtaining deposits and securing move-ins. • Is a positive role model of professional conduct and customer service attitude to the entire community team members? • Provides training to community team members regarding customer service, conducting tours, and telephone marketing skills, as needed. • Responsible for maintaining department within budgetary guidelines. • Assists Executive Director in other management duties as assigned. • Participates in Manager-on-Duty rotation as required.
