As they continue to expand, they are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Operations to oversee and drive their operational performance, streamline processes, and lead their team to new heights of success.
Position Overview: As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency across distribution, maintenance, and service. Reporting directly to the executive team, you'll implement best practices in logistics, warehouse management, and team leadership while driving initiatives that support both productivity and customer satisfaction. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can develop strategic operational goals, optimize resource utilization, and support continuous improvement across all operational functions.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations, including distribution, inventory management, fleet maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth and efficient performance. Develop and implement operational strategies that align with organizational goals, enhancing productivity and customer satisfaction. Lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented environment. Monitor and manage operational budgets, controlling costs while optimizing resources. Establish and enforce operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, minimize downtime, and improve service delivery. Collaborate with sales, customer service, and technical teams to support client needs and ensure high-quality service. Analyze data and prepare reports for senior management, providing insights into operational performance and recommending solutions to operational challenges. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 7+ years of experience in operations management, ideally within distribution, material handling, or a similar industry. Proven track record of successful team leadership and operational performance improvement. Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and warehouse processes. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments.
