The Hampton Roads Connector Partners JV (HRCP) consisting of VINCI Construction, Dragados, and Flatiron has been selected to construct the $3.3BN Design Build project -the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

The project scope across a 9-mile section of the I-64 will include: a new 3.5-mile bridge-tunnel crossing that will accommodate a total of 8 lanes of capacity across the water, replacement of the existing marine approach bridges and the addition of a third lane on I-64 in each direction. The twin 45 diameter 1.5-mile tunnels will be bored by TBM, creating the second largest TBM tunnel opening for a TBM in North America.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

Performs data entry for accounts payable vouchers, invoices, bills and expenses to ensure accurate and timely payment Reconcile and prepare subcontractor payment applications Reconcile vendor account statements Establish records of accounts and input entries into to proper accounts Enter manual general ledger entries as required Maintain account sub-ledgers Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies Prepare documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance Works closely with the area Senior Accountant to be trained as a backup in their absence Perform additional assignments per management's direction Qualifications:

Required

A Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a Bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in accounting from an accredited institution. Ability to manage a number of different tasks and projects in an organized and efficient manner. Must have excellent work habits to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures Strong communication and problem solving skills Good knowledge of accounting rules, regulations and procedures Must be able to work on an active construction job site in an office setting Must have reliable transportation Fluent in English with professional proficiency Preferred
